What a great morning! Today we began distributing 30 brand new chrome books to students at Milford Elementary school (one of our partner schools.) The chrome books now belong to the students for them to have for years to come. This is one example of how Kennrod strives to provide access to students and their parents. In consideration of covid, most students received their chrome books as they drove up to Milford in their car. Congratulations to everyone! #supportkennrod

We had an incredible visit this month to The University of Georgia! Our day started with Samson Tours picking us up to take us to Athens, Georgia. When we arrived, we met our tour guides, Emily and Jaden, who were amazing! They took us to see so many parts of the campus and they shared information about a variety of topics including school history, courses, sports, extracurricular opportunities, and study abroad programs. Our middle school students recently had a financial literacy presentation by Charlotte Geletka, Managing Partner at Silver Penny Financial. Charlotte provided the students an engaging and hands-on lesson about various ways to take care of their money today and in the future. The 2019-2020 school year is underway with Kennrod and we couldn’t be more excited! We will continue to build on our foundation of working closely with parents, students, schools, and the community to create opportunities for students to extend their learning beyond the classroom. The Kennrod Fall Fundraising Campaign 2018 is underway! The campaign started on October 1 and it will last through November 30. The purpose of the campaign is to bring awareness of our mission and to raise money to support our programs which include: tutoring, college and career readiness, and parent workshops.
